It’s hard to believe another calendar year has come and gone!  Hungerford Elementary remains a very busy place where learning is ongoing and exciting.  We have entered the final marking period of school.  We’re in high gear--it’s full steam ahead!

As you are aware, on February 28th, our fourth and fifth grade students took the FSA-ELA Writing test.  Third through fifth grade students will take the Reading and Math portion of the test beginning March 28th.  Fifth grade will also take the NGSSS Science test in April.  If you would like to find out more information about the FSA assessment, please visit K-12 student assessment. We would like to remind you that reading, writing and math need to be practiced at home also. Third, fourth, and fifth grade students should be reading every evening and practicing their writing skills.

Once the FSA is over, the teachers will begin diligently preparing the students for next year’s standards as well.  Our students continually rise to our expectations for their learning and growth.  We believe that our partnership with you will continue to result in every child at HES succeeding as a learner.

The faculty and staff at Hungerford appreciate our supportive families so much!  Thanks for being on our team.  Together we are building bright futures for all our students.
